As you’ve heard by now, the two proposed massive developments on the corner of Charlotte and Chestnut Streets will add 400 housing units, 600 vehicles and close to 50,000 sf of retail space. One of the many issues that hasn’t been addressed as the first of these developments moves to a Council vote is how our two-lane street can handle the increase in traffic.
So, the Charlotte Street neighbors are going to help by conducting a “traffic study” and we’d like for you to join us. We’re hoping to get 100 cars to drive on Charlotte Street on Friday, July 9th between 5:00 – 5:30 to show what even that small influx will do to our daily commute.
Please sign up below to RSVP and we’ll send you a map and more details.
Afterwards, we’ll be sharing our findings with the Council as we push them to represent us and bring the developments in line with the existing zoning guidelines.
